OpenTV Wins Four Patents

Interactive television software company OpenTV announced on Monday that it has been issued four patents since January. The European Patent Office issued one in January 2002 covering text- and data-compression techniques for tour chùa yên tử set-top boxes. The four patents bring OpenTV's portfolio total to 92 patents issued worldwide and 39 in the United States. The Moutain View, Calif. -based company has 253 patents pending worldwide.
