Walking Santa Barbara
Being a fan of the zombie theme as well as the post-apocalypse, she avoided this series for an extended time - I wasn't stunned at the trailer, the actors are very ordinary-looking. Recently, my set of zombie films begin to thin out and I rubbed my hands, tuned in the drama and non-trivial plot, sat down to see the very first episode. Unfortunately, sheer disappointment with a bit of rabies. Frenzy from high ratings and loud positive best movies reviews. Obviously, I can keep the opinion of people who write praises to myself, but there's no doubt concerning the maturity with the perception of these people. Yes, it is see-through that this is the film. But guys - right here is the degree of directing and script underneath the floor. Has mastered the very first two installments of the primary season, there's no desire to check further.
From the first minutes I need to to wind. I enjoy atmospheric films, dull landscapes, whipping up a tragic atmosphere ... This is not here. Neither the camera work, nor the inventory in the frame and other connected things helped. The scenes are drawn out to begin exhaustion. A quite strong negative is the first the main series. The feeling how they desired to cheat me never left me - the reasoning was obtained from the good film'28 days later ', with all the creators'imagination, apparently, quite tight. Next is the key character. Generally, it seemed that a grownup man - his wife, children - behaves himself so stupidly, but from his stupid actions and inappropriate behavior the hand itself literally magnetized to your forehead. Yes, there is no need to get heroic, but to behave rationally, at the very least with a small amount of courage and ingenuity, and it would be much better (his escape to the location with zombies, on the horse, available as a sheriff's deputy can be a separate fail).
About the acting: weak. It feels like a drama, but they don't care. Neither fish nor fowl. The main character has one emotion - tension.
Action is present in micro-sizes, a number of interesting decisions have taken place - only that predictability kills everything in the bud. Not interested.
What goes on in the series is not clear. It appears like it needs to be as planned, but it really works in a negative way. Why suddenly zombies, where, when - at the very least some information. But no, we are shown the relationship of men and women, their idle chatter and running around. This appears to be the chief motive of the series. The heroes, having powered down their brains, a single thing but try to outlive and accommodate the changed world. If anyone came here because of the zombies, don't waste your time.
P. s. I see that negative reviews are not particularly favored here - these are simply mercilessly minus. However give over convincing facts - like endless cartridges, food, gasoline, the hopeless stupidity of heroes, short sleeves ... Seriously, with the knowledge that a zombie bite is 100% fatal, would you walk across town in the thin shirt? ... Or acknowledge that zombies react on the sound, loudly call their friend? ...
It would seem a trifle - but the overall thought of the photo consists of the trifles.
