Walking Santa Barbara
Being keen on the zombie theme and also the post-apocalypse, she avoided this series for a long time - I was not astounded by the trailer, the actors have become ordinary-looking. Recently, my directory of zombie films began to thin out and I rubbed my hands, tuned in to the drama and non-trivial plot, sat down to see the earliest episode. Unfortunately, sheer disappointment with a bit of rabies. Frenzy from high ratings and loud positive reviews. Naturally, I will keep the opinion of those who write praises to myself, but there is no doubt concerning the maturity of your perception of these people. Yes, it is apparent that this can be a film. But guys - this can be the amount of directing and script underneath the floor. Has mastered the first two installments of the earliest season, there's no desire to search further.
From the 1st minutes Needed to wind. I enjoy atmospheric films, dull landscapes, whipping up a tragic atmosphere ... That isn't here. Neither the digital camera work, nor the inventory located in the frame and other associated things helped. The scenes are slow to the point of exhaustion. A very good negative is the 1st perhaps the series. The experience that they can wished to cheat me never left me - the reasoning was obtained from the truly amazing film'28 days later ', with all the creators'imagination, apparently, quite tight. Next is the main character. In most cases, it seemed that an adult man - his wife, children - behaves himself so stupidly, but from his stupid actions and inappropriate behavior the hand itself literally magnetized on the forehead. Yes, there's no need to be heroic, but to behave rationally, at the least with a small amount of courage and ingenuity, and it could be much better (his trip to metropolis with zombies, for a horse, as a sheriff's deputy is a separate fail).
Regarding the acting: weak. It feels like a drama, however they don't care. Neither fish nor fowl. The key character has one emotion - tension.
Action is obtained in micro-sizes, several interesting decisions took place - only that predictability kills all things in the bud. Not interested.
What happens inside the series is not clear. It appears like it has to be as planned, but it truely does work in a bad way. Why suddenly zombies, where, when - not less than some information. But no, we're shown the connection of people, their idle chatter and running around. This seems to be the principle motive of the series. The heroes, having powered down their brains, do anything whatsoever but try to survive and adjust to the changed world. If someone came here as a result of zombies, don't waste your time.
P. s. that negative read reviews are not particularly favored here - these are simply mercilessly minus. Although people give above convincing facts - like endless cartridges, food, gasoline, the hopeless stupidity of heroes, short sleeves ... Seriously, understanding that a zombie bite is 100% fatal, could you walk across the street in a very thin shirt? ... Or knowing that zombies react for the sound, loudly call their friend? ...
You would have it a trifle - but the overall perception of the image consists for these trifles.
