Sheridan Smith Pulls Out Of Presenting BRIT Award
Sheridan Smith pulled out of presenting a BRIT Award alongside Olly Murs and Adam Lambert after making a mysterious early exit from the ceremony.
The actress, 39, had been invited to the music event last Tuesday to present the accolade for Best British Group, won by [/tvshowbiz/little_mix/index.html Little Mix], with Olly, 37, and Adam, 39, who are her co-stars on new ITV show Starstruck.
A TV insider told MailOnline Sheridan opted not to go on stage during the live broadcast after celebrating her first night out since the easing of [/news/coronavirus-lockdowns/index.html lockdown] and becoming a mum last May.

'Sheridan was due to present the Best British Group award at the BRITs with Olly and Adam,' a source revealed.
'The plan was for the trio to promote their new show Starstruck, but Sheridan decided to keep a low profile.

The star, who wore a little black dress and heels to the ceremony, said on Instagram: 'Such a fan girl! Loved meeting these guys, I was #Starstruck #BRITs2021.
'I will always be the 16-year-old that moved to London and got a guy from a Dulux advert to sign my arm! Fan girling is my vibe.'
She uploaded photos posing alongside the stars of Kurupt FM and singer Rag'n'Bone Man, 36, who performed on the night at London's O2 arena.
The actress was then pictured being driven out of the ceremony over an hour before the end of the show.
Sheridan, famed for her roles in Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps, Gavin and Stacey and from presenting new BBC One show Pooch Perfect this year, is a judge on upcoming talent series Starstruck, the revamp of Eighties hit Stars In Their Eyes.
The BAFTA winner joins Queen frontman Adam, comic Jason Manford, 39, and musical theatre star Beverley Knight, 48, on the panel while pop star Olly will host the show.

Sheridan gave birth to her first baby, a son called Billy, in May 2020.
She shares Billy with insurance broker fiancé Jamie Horn and admitted amidst the lockdown being a mum had changed her outlook on life.
In December, she said: 'My priorities have all shifted. I don't want to go to nightclubs or partying or drinking.
'I'm in bed by 9pm and, of all the things I've ever done, I feel I've really achieved something. Whatever I did before, I never felt proud of myself. Now, becoming a mum, I feel incredibly proud.'
She told her experiences on ITV documentary Sheridan Smith: Becoming Mum, which tracked the mental health of mothers, including her own.
Sheridan said she viewed being a mum as 'a second chance' and is intent on 'staying in a good place for the baby.'
