The Earth Since We Knew It Offers Disappeared But Keeping Humanity Is Our Choice
In 2010, the TV series "The Walking Dead" was already released in the news, suddenly transforming into a cult and gathering an enormous audience of fans. The first season of The Walkers was directed by Frank Darabont, who had already got his practical horror movies, noted for his highly successful screen adaptations of Stephen King's novels. Despite the fact that Darabont subsequently left the project, "The Walking Dead" always stayed afloat, changing showrunners, but without losing the company atmosphere, although each season was distinguished by a unique special style, or, more correctly, individuality. The pilot episode of the first season attracted greater than 5 million viewers from the screens, as well as season itself received quite a warm welcome and excellent reviews, including from professional critics. The plot of your series revolves around the tale of former cop Rick Grimes, who awakens within a hospital in the midst of a zombie apocalypse and tries to find his family and survive in the industry of the revived dead. After some time, Rick makes new friends and enemies, moving down the east coast with the United States and shooting crowds of hungry walking dead.
At the primary viewing, the series leaves the sense of a task that sets a brand-new bar for creating zombie slashers, partially bypassing even the most used film franchise included in the genre "Resident Evil", of course, not in the products lighting tricks, but in how much elaboration of the universe. "The Walking Dead" bribes already because it isn't just another shooter, that has a ridiculous script and characters written "on their knees." Thus, the "Walking Dead" managed, as it were, "shoot" for the very same reason because "Bet on Thrones" released a year later. At the time of the release with the last bright fantasy of the quality of "The Lord from the Rings" there was clearly practically no, and the series, conveniently occupying a clear chair niche, was a cult. So might be zombie horror - yes, they shine in quantity, but is not in quality; few films of your genre are able to pleasantly surprise, for the majority of them stereotyped and mediocrity are very characteristic, while "Walking" is made modestly, but with taste. The project doesn't involve the celebs of the primary magnitude, and a lot of actors, however, came into common use as a result of their roles in The Walking Dead. The cost, apparently, would not allow relying on expensive computer graphics, plot moves are uncomplicated, and morality is frequently completely banal - value your household and you should not substitute. It seems apparant that there isn't anything special to hook the viewer with, but all this can be forgiven and pays off with interest, because of mesmerizing atmosphere of the post-apocalypse, captivating from the first minutes of viewing.
The age rating on the project "18+" speaks by itself - blood, meat, each side dismembered bodies and broken skulls are abundant here; hardly any episode is done without murders by survivors or walkers, but it's not why the fans love the series. Although when you're getting started, The Walking Dead is just a crimson jackpot, but when you dig deeper, it turns out that the ominous zombie apocalypse is simply the scenery against which the leading story develops. The story of survivors fighting to preserve the key human values, such as love, friendship, family. The story of methods difficult it should be to remain humane and human in inhuman conditions. And, apparently, it had become these ideas that inspired last year's South Korean thriller Train to Busan, which managed to see a hackneyed topic from a new angle and tell a touching story of the zombie horror, adding some soulfulness. So the series itself, because of the bloodshed abundance, is not an adaptation of "Left 4 Dead", built on the key of "run and shoot", where such an example will interest only young adults and, firstly, adolescents. Here, a very good portion of the screen time is specialized in the disclosure of characters and their reincarnations, their bond with shod and non-shod and conflicts; the dramatic content of "The Walking Dead" occupies one of the main places within the script, simultaneously it can make it clear to us that you have little romance in survival in post-apocalypse conditions, this can be a severe test of strength, where you cannot find any place to the weak, where even one of many living - as if among wolves.
However, there's a second side for this medal, behind which, obviously, lies most significant weaknesses of the series. Sometimes the bias towards drama on the detriment in the drive and tense atmosphere is the series look bland, dragging on only every now and then, which are the plot progress seem indecently slow. Another specific feature of "Walkers" is, not immediately apparent, the lack of freshness of the environment, belonging to the monotony in the setting and the monotony on the scenery. Coupled with the unhurried continuing development of events, this causes some disappointment, because the series, flashing brightly at first and setting a powerful pace, ceases to maintain it to remain, rarely returning to genuinely stormy action and vigorous narration. But what definitely will not let you have bored would be the many colorful and deep characters.
